Copycat Cheesecake Factory Buffalo Blasts Recipe

 

Since we have been staying at home, I try to prepare some sort of treat. We have not had the Cheesecake Factory’s Buffalo Blasts in about a year and I was craving them.   Since we are not comfortable dining out, I decided to make some copycat Cheesecake Factory Buffalo Blasts.  

For weeks, I had been saying I would prepare them.  I finally made them and they were absolutely delicious! Not only were they delicious, but they were also easy to make.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Copycat Cheesecake Factory Buffalo Blasts Recipe:

  • 2 cups baked or boiled shredded chicken.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  • 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese.
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Redhot Buffalo Wing Sauce.
  • 32 Wonton Wrappers
  • 2 cups bread crumbs (Place in a plate)
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Egg White
  • Vegetable Oil

Cooking Directions:

  • Heat vegetable oil at 350 degrees.
  • Add shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, Frank’s Redhot Buffalo Wing Sauce into a large bowl.
  • Place wonton on a flat surface.  Put 1 tablespoon of chicken, cheese, and hot sauce mixture in the center of the wonton.
  • Dip your finger into the cup that is filled with water.   Align your damp finger around the edge of the wonton.  This will help seal the wonton when you close it.
  • Fold the wonton into a diagonal.  Add one corner to the next, making a triangle. Press the wonton down to seal it.
  • Brush the top of the wonton with a simple egg wash. Brush both sides.
  • Roll the wonton in the bread crumbs.
  • Fry wontons a couple at a time for a few minutes, until golden brown. (The filling is already cooked, so you are not cooking the filling) Make sure they are hot enough so that the cheese is melted and the wonton wrapper is nice and crispy.

Tip:  If the blasts seem like they are not cooking as nicely as the first few batches, I suggest you change out the grease, by pouring out the residue at the bottom.  Strain the grease into another skillet or pot and reuse the now clean grease.  

I paired the Buffalo Blasts with ranch dressing.  You can serve them with ranch dressing,  blue cheese, or hot sauce.   

I like to eat them while they are piping hot.  After I made some for my son and me to eat.  I made some for my parents.  I drove to their house and delivered them to their doorstep.  This was their first time having them and they enjoyed them.  My mom ate hers with ranch and my dad ate his blasts with hot sauce.  See, everyone has their own preference.
