thermometer How to Take Your Temperature With Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner

When I received my Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner I wondered when I would be able to use it, because it is rare for someone in my family to have fever.  But, I knew this would be a product I would need at some point.  Well, last week, my son woke up in the middle of the night complaining that his head was hot.  I instantly pulled out my new thermometer.

I read the instructions, in which they seemed simple enough.  I then ran the thermometer across his head.  As I moved the thermometer across there were beeping sounds after after I pressed the center button.  All the while I was thinking this is the real deal.  When I looked to see what the temperature read, I thought something is not right.  The numbers were too low and he was burning up.  I did this several times and then read the directions again.  Oh my goodness….I had not taken off the cap.  The directions specifically state to take off the cap.  Okay….I then took off the cap and followed the directions correctly.  I was then able to see an accurate reading.  My son definitely had a fever.

I could not believe how easy it was to check his temperature.  I was a little skeptical because, I have been accustomed  to using a thermometer that goes in the mouth, so I ran it across my head and the numbers were accurate as well, no fever.

Exergen Smart Glow Thermometer is perfect for people of all ages.  I wish I had this when my children were babies.  I love that  it is fast acting, accurate and non-invasive, just as the box says.

The TemporalScanner comes with four ways to make it even easier to take a temperature:
  • A softly illuminated display for easy reading in any light – perfect for checking the temperature of a sleeping infant in a darkened room
  • Beeping sound indicating scanning can be turned off or on to avoid waking a sleeping child
  • Automatically retains the last eight temperature readings for instant recall to check on fever progression
  • Ability to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes
Made in the United States, the Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner is the number one preferred thermometer by both nurses and pediatricians, and is backed by more than 50 clinical studies proving its accuracy.
