Good Birthday Ideas For Teens
It seems like it is inevitable that everyone will be having a quarantine birthday, and will have to find unique ways to celebrate. My son turned 15-years-old and we decided to surprise him with an indoor theater experience. During these times, we have to think of great quarantine parties for teens.
Since movie theaters have been closed since March, and we do not know when they will open again or when it will be safe to visit, my daughter came up with a theater themed quarantine birthday party. Although we could not invite others over, we still had a good time.
When I knew my daughter was coming to decorate, I kept my son out during that time. When we returned home, he was pleasantly surprised by a room decorated with white and gold balloons, pillows, and a lounging area.
She had converted the living area into a lounge area filled with soft white down comforters, and pillows, that she purchased at Target.

She also set up a concession area filled with theater candy. The only difference was, these concessions were free. I purchased Red Vines, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Patch Watermelon, M&M’s, Whoppers, Reeces, York Peppermint Patties, Sour Punch Twists, and Root Beer to make Root Beer floats.
Food For Birthday Party
The Root Beer floats went well with the pizza we ordered from our local pizza parlor. This is a real Italian pizza parlor, not a commercial restaurant chain. As we watched a couple of movies, we ate and snacked the entire time. Our stomachs definitely regretted it later. Oh well, it was a celebration. We wanted to make sure this would be a memorable quarantine birthday, and as close to a real theater experience as possible.
Target Birthday Decorations
At some point, we did sing happy birthday and my son enjoyed his favorite cake, red velvet. Our theater themed birthday party was a hit. My son continued to thank us for such a wonderful birthday.
Purchasing everything from Target made this party planning easy. It was convenient to buy everything from Target, except for the cake and ice cream. We had to purchase it from a different store. Target had some great deals on bedding and candy. The decorations were reasonably priced, at their everyday low prices.
I am so happy my daughter came up with this idea. It made my son feel special, during these times of quarantine.
