Equinox Gym News -Ilyse Baker’s Dancinerate Launch
Talking about a workout! I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Ilyse Baker’s Dancinerate at Equinox Fitness Club West LA. I have to be honest, I made an attempt to participate but realized I could not, because I did not feel well. However; my daughter, Ari of Chic Definition, participated and is still complaining about her aches and pains and is trying to work out the pain.
Dancinerate, a new dance fitness program is fun and a lot of work. It is something for everyone. I attended the Hip Hop Funk although, she offers Sexy Broadway Jazz as well. When the class first started Ilyse began, with what I thought was an intense workout, only to find out that it was the warm-up. But, I did not care, because the music was pumping and the class was hyped. As I started to fade out of the class, I noticed others that were standing around deciding to join in. It was as if a build of confidence came over them. I had spoken with one young lady, that said, “I do not want to look bad, so I will watch.” Minutes later she was participating. With a range of age groups participating, Ilyse makes everyone feel comfortable by encouraging them and reassuring them they are doing a good job. The high energy instructor made her way through the full, class with much enthusiasm. Within an hour the class had learned a high impact workout and they looked great!
As an onlooker, I was excited about the class and plan on actually participating in one soon, because I am so tired of Ari telling me, “Mom, you would have loved it!”
After the class, we were then fed a healthy breakfast that was catered by Paleta.
PALETA is a positive force from coast to coast. Home to Southern California’s first certified green kitchen, PALETA provides designer meal services, CLEANSES, and pressed juices to the greater Los Angeles area and ships the popular MIND & BODY CLEANSE nationwide.
As the class lined up for the delicious food, I could see others in the gym eyeing this wonderful spread, whispering comments like, “Who catered that? Goodness, that looks good!” The staff from Paleta and Dancinerate did not leave anyone out even if they did not participate in the class. They graciously offered them to join in as well. I will have to agree, upon tasting everything, “It was very tasty!”
Overall, this event made me feel good. I was also happy to run into my fellow bloggers Carolyn West and Melissa Burton of SoCal Lady Bloggers and I met some great new people, as well. I seriously plan on attending a Dancinerate class or else I will not hear the end of it.
If you have not tried the class you can also purchase the DVD.
Now you know I loved this. Everything looks so awesome. I aspire to do this…this is inspiration for that day to come. Have fun next time. At least you got to participate in the opening festivities.
I am glad you liked it and thank you. I aspire to do this is well. When your day comes let me know.
