Free And For Me

As a Purex Insider, I have been enjoying trying different Soft Scrub products.  The most recent product I received is New Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover.

The first thing I noticed and liked about this product was the packaging.   The bottle has a sort of slant that makes it easier to get some of the hard spots.  I try to stay away from products with bleach, but I must admit I really like them.  Soft Scrub Mold &  Mildew has bleach in it. I do not mind it, but I have to be very careful.  I have been known to get bleach on my clothes.  It only happens, because when I am cleaning I really get into it and somehow it gets on me, well if I clean a spot like the tub and sit in the area I have cleaned and of course a bleach stain appears.  This does not happen all of the time.  Although this stain remover contains bleach there are no harsh fumes or over spray.

My first thought was to use it when mopping the kitchen, bathrooms and entrance of my home. Since this Soft Scrub cleans tile, grout, tubs and showers I thought this would be perfect. I do not have mold or mildew.  So far it has worked pretty well in these rooms.

This is how I use Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew:  I spray the gel around the floor and let it sit for a while.   My floors are not hard to clean, because I clean them often, but I like to make sure they a really clean.   After a short while I mop with the floor with a hot wet mop.  Sometimes I have mopped it with only hot water and the stain remover and I have tried it with adding a couple of other household cleaning products to it.  It works well both ways.  It is perfect for a quick spot cleaning.

For some reason, my focus has been on cleaning the floors.  I think it is because, I have used other Soft Scrub products in the tubs and showers, but I will definitely use this one in the showers and tubs as well.  Soft Scrub has become great kitchen and bathroom cleaner for my home.

My daughter did try the bathroom cleaner in her bathroom, she said it worked fine.  She has been having an issue with brown spots appearing in the top of the ceiling of her bathroom, when the shower is used.  It sounds crazy, but this really happens. We have had it checked and it is not mold  or mildew.  We have not idea what this is or why it happens.  She did spray the Soft Scrub on it and let it cling to the stains, but it did not work.  We will be painting that area, unless someone has any suggestions.  This does not mean the stain remover does not work, because I am using it in other areas of our home, it just did not work on these stains.

So once again, I have had the opportunity to try another great Soft Scrub product.
