Ron Beckenfeld – CEO

I had the pleasure of visiting Superior Source Vitamins with several other bloggers.

Who new we would be spending the day with such wonderful people.  From the moment we arrived we were greeted with open arms and I mean literally.  CEO, Ron Beckenfeld is such a warm, friendly and knowledgeable person and so is the staff at Superior Source.  I kept thinking, clearly these people take their vitamins.

You know how after attending a show or taking a trip you ask your kids, what was the best part?  I have asked myself this same question after visiting Superior Source.  I felt like my son, I would say “EVERYTHING”.

After everyone arrived we took a tour of the 100,000 square foot facility,where the growing list of more than 120 dietary supplements are made.  I did not know what to expect.  First, let me mention that Ron guided the tour.  We were all excited when we were told we had to put on a white coat and hair net.  How exciting!!!

During the guided tour we were able to see the vitamin process.   Being just a consumer, I had no idea of what goes into making such a tiny dissolvable tablet.  We take it for granted that someone had to put all of this together in order to reach the consumer, well at least I have.

It was expressed several times that quality control is very important.  It takes one month overall to get the finished product, from raw material to vitamin.

It is amazing the amount of checking that goes on. Testing is done on all raw material on every single ingredient it is checked for salmonella.  Invoices, paper and raw material is quality controlled as well.  After it is approved it goes through manufacturing process.  Everything is sanitized, cleaned, wiped down in the warehouse.  The facility is immaculate. As for the supplements, I was impressed when we were told that  there is a small amount of gum used as a binding agent in the product, it is totally pure. We continued to see how these soft-molded instant release tablets are processed.  Once everything was processed I enjoyed watching how they were packaged.  I think the entire group was excited.  We all scattered to different areas of the process and Ron had to gather us to what was the beginning of the process to the final boxed product that we see in stores.  What a great experience.

While we were on the tour Ron shared with us that he started his business out of the trunk of his car in 1969.  He began selling to his friends from the gym and the business grew into the business we now see today.  It is always inspiring to meet people that can share that hard work and determination does pay off.

I have always understood the importance of taking supplements and I have wanted to find a brand I can trust.  I can honestly say that I have found that brand.  Watching the passion that, CEO Ron Beckenfeld has for his product, staff and company as a whole I was moved.  He was eager to share everything with us.  At first glance, I could see that he was a fitness guy.  He is not someone that is just trying to sell a product, he believes in it and the people he works with believe in it as well.  During the tour, he said, “I take these vitamins, myself.”  He said it with such enthusiasm.  And, yes I believe him.  I also believe Superior Source is a product that can be trusted because of the passion and drive the people of Superior Source share for this product and the enthusiasm they have to get a great product out there to people like me.

I can only speak for myself, but I am sure the other bloggers would agree, we had a great time.  We had lunch and shared our thoughts of the products and the tour.

I am now taking Superior Source Vitamins and will continue to do so.  Yes, I did leave with a nice gift bag to start me off, but I will continue to take them in the future.  They are so simple to take.  I like that I can take them if need be, while on the go.  I do not have to drink water with them and of course I do not have to swallow a big, horse pill.
