Order Hair Products Online During COVID 19 State of Emergency

It is like we are living in a Scifi movie.   Prior to the COVID 19 state of emergency, I had been shopping for my household.   Thank God I had done so because, on March 13, 2020, I walked into some of my favorite stores only to find empty shelves and frantic customers.

I stood in the aisle at a loss, not knowing what to purchase.  As people whizzed by selfishly hoarding, I decided to purchase some food staples, to hold us over because it was no way this would last very long.

I was completely wrong.  The following week, we were issued stay at home orders.  As I sat listening to these orders I decided to go to the store.  Down to about five rolls of toilet paper, no paper towels and about three gallons of water I needed to see what I could get.   Just like the following Friday, the store was filled with frantic people and empty shelves.

As I was braving the stores, my daughter called me and said she had ordered a few items on Amazon.   Some essential items that she uses for her hair were even sold out in local supermarkets by her house.

She ordered SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment.   Since we cannot go to the salon, she is making sure her hair is well hydrated and stays healthy until she is able to get her hair done.

She also ordered Handcraft Pure Castor Oil.   She is growing her hair out from a short haircut and is trying to make sure she uses products that aid in her hair growth. 

Thanks to Amazon she was able to find some of her haircare favorites. 

I am sure I will need to place an order or two because my hair is starting to look crazy.   I am currently wearing braids.  I had an appointment scheduled for this week, that I had to cancel.   I am going to try and get an appointment as soon as I know all of this over.

It will be funny to see people before quarantine and after.  Especially people like my son.  He cannot go to the barber, his barber is not making housecalls, and we are not going to do a home haircut.  That would be a complete disaster.  Many of us are going to look considerably different if this lasts another month or two. 

I am glad Amazon is one way of getting the things we need to be delivered at our doorstep.    There are some things that are unavailable because many people have the same idea.  Either way, it definitely beats standing in long lines and dealing with angry, frustrated, or panicked people.  Don’t get me wrong there are some nice people out there but the stress of it all can be overwhelming.  It is best to stay in as much as possible.  Making purchases through Amazon can relieve some of the added stress. 

We will get through this.  Until then, stay safe and healthy!
