Free And For Me

Have you heard?  The LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART will be available on DVD + BluRay on May 7th!

Last week I attended the launch party for The LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART and had an awesome time!

I did not see the movie when it was in theaters, so I was looking forward to seeing it at the launch party.  I could not wait to watch Lego Movie 2!

I sat in the theater with my niece, nephew and other families anxiously watching the citizens of Bricksburg face a dangerous new threat when LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path. The battle to defeat the enemy and restore harmony to the LEGO universe takes Emmet, Lucy, Batman and the rest of their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds that test their courage and creativity.

The theater was filled with many gasps and laughter.  As wondered if was everything awesome, we were all routing for the citizens of Bricksburg.

While on the Lego 2 Movie characters were on their adventure.  I discovered Lucy/Wyldstyle is still my favorite character.

I love her no-nonsense an independent attitude that remains in this second Lego movie.  In Lego 2 she continues to carry herself in this manner. I recall in The Lego Move she has some insecurities because she does not go by her real name, Lucy.  In part 2, there is a scene where they question her hair color and she tries to deny it.  Eventually, she is forced to reveal the truth.  She is learning to be herself.

My niece and nephew attended the party with me.  I have seen them twice since the launch party and they have told me how much the enjoyed the movie and the launch party.

Who wouldn’t enjoy a party with a great movie, food, and fun!   We used our creative minds and built whatever came to mind with Legos.  Some people built easy Lego creations like cool Lego cars, Lego houses, Lego people and more.

The kids decorated cookies with edible markers.  They colored so well, they have been hesitant to eat them.  These cookies were a hit and definitely great Lego food ideas!

Everything was awesome at The LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART launch party! We screened the movie, played with Legos, hung out with Lego characters, decorated cookies and enjoyed a nice meal from Epic Tacos.

The DVD + BluRay includes an adorable Sizzle Reel highlighting some of the great Sing-Along moments in the DVD + BluRay versions of the film.
