Free And For Me

Having had child graduate from high school two years ago, I think I have an  idea of what to expect when purchasing gifts for this years graduates.  Since graduating my daughter has needed a new iPhone 5s, iTunes, a cell phone case and a few other things. We have spent many days at Best Buy.  With that said, I have purchased quit a few iTunes gift cards for this year graduates from Best Buy.  For me it was an easy purchase and they loved it.  All of the graduates I know, love music.  I figure why not purchase an iTunes gift card.  I remember my college days of wanting to purchase a cassette or cd and not having the money, because I spent all of my allowance. Since the days of cassettes and cd are gone a gift card is perfect!!!  I have been guilty of purchasing these gift cards and just having them year around, for an emergency gift.  You can never go wrong with the iTunes gift card. I have made purchases through the Best Buy Gift Center in the past and it has worked out well, but I do like going into the store.

I have found many graduates are constantly networking.  For example, my daughter is a full time student, works part time and is a blogger, she needs everything for the networker persona.  We have been able to find many items at Best Buy.  Well, she thinks this is the only place to go, so why not purchase my gifts for recent grads from here as well.

Networking has changed since my college days.  Technology has opened so many doors for people to effectively network.  By the time students graduate from high school or college they have lined up an awesome job or have started there own business.  My daughter is in college and with her busy schedule she needed to upgrade her phone,  we went into Best Buy last week and purchased the iPhone 5s.  Although, we went into make the purchase, the sales people were eager to assist us on trying to lower our bill.  They even offered a discount on an accessory, because there was a long wait.  We did not need any accessories, but we were able to purchase something for my daughter to continue working.  I am telling you, the selection of gifts for networkers is good and I think is the best way to go.

Like many grads there are dads that would like these gifts as well.  I laugh, because when I think of my dad, I do not think this would be a good pairing for him because he is not up on technology.  I will have have to head over to another section of Best Buy, I see there is a nose & ear trimmer that costs under $50.  He is always going to take care of that professionally, maybe I can save him a few dollars!!!
