2014 is off to a great start.  We have been invited to attend the Los Angeles, Lego Movie family screening.  My son is a huge Lego fan.  Watching Lego’s come to life on the big screen will be so exciting for him.  I am sure many of us can relate to wishing your favorite toy was was real or could come to life.

The first ever Lego Movie will officially be assembling in theaters February 7th.

Emmet is an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO mini figure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly underprepared.

This movie has a great cast:

Channing Tatum
Jonah Hill
Superman (voice)
Green Lantern
Alison Brie
Uni-Kitty (voice)
Cobie Smulders
Wonder Woman (voice)
Elizabeth Banks
Wyldstyle (voice)
Chris Pratt
Emmet (voice)
Morgan Freeman
Vitruvius (voice)
Will Ferrell
President Business (voice)
Liam Neeson
Bad Cop / Good Cop (voice)
Nick Offerman
Craggy (voice)
Will Arnett
Batman (voice)
Charlie Day
Spaceman Benny (voice)
Jadon Sand
Finn (voice)

I am looking forward to watching the adventure Emmet will be taking us on.  I am sure Warner Brothers will not disappoint and one thing I can count on for sure.  This movie will have my son itching for more Lego toys.  I do not know how many times I have stood in Target and purchasing mini figures.  I can see it now, after this movie my son will be asking for an Emmet mini figure.  We will be standing in the store feeling the packages trying to figure out which one is Emmet, because you cannot tell which mini figure is in the package.  For many kids that is so much fun and can you believe they are able to tell which figure is in the package???

This movie is taking Lego’s to a new level in my home, we have watched the movie trailer several times with anticipation of seeing the movie.  I will be tweeting about the screening @freeandforme.  #LEGOmovieLA
