I just love visiting The Talk! On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, I and some of my blogger friends were guest bloggers at The Talk.
As always, I have a good time. This time we were in store for yet another great treat. Jeff Foxworthy was the co-host and he engaged us with some great laughs.
Guests on the show were actress, Julie Bowen, singer, Jewel and judge chef Marcella Valladolid. Julie Bowen told a hilarious story of being a mother to three young boys: “They are at that age where all hell breaks loose…I know where every Urgent Care is now.” Jewel discussed her “Greatest Hits” CD, playing June Carter Cash for the Lifetime film “Ring of Fire” and working with an initiative called ReThink. She also gave the entire audience a copy of her Greatest Hits CD and a $50 Visa ReThink gift card. Marcela Valladolid of the new CBS show, “The American Baking Competition” , visited “The Talk” for a Talk Takeaway: Cooking segment. She showed the ladies how to make Strawberry Meringue Cake. As I sat watching her prepare it, I could hear whispers of people wondering if they were going to have the opportunity to try it. Well, unfortunately, that did not happen but the recipe was shared. I was happy with that. I am confident I can make it.
To top the show off, Jeff Foxworthy challenged Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler to a pie eating contest. From what I witnessed it seemed as though Sheryl won, Aisha took the easy way out and Jeff tried his best. I could not stop laughing, but every time I looked at Sheryl I could not close my mouth. She is sooooo hilarious!!!!
After the show, all of the bloggers had lunch with Jeff Foxworthy and Marcella Valladolid. We had the opportunity to discuss their upcoming show, The American Baking Competition. Jeff Foxworthy will host the new summer reality series THE AMERICAN BAKING COMPETITION. The competition series based on the format of the hit UK show “The Great British Bake Off” premieres
