Jennie-O Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey – Turkey Mexican Recipes

I know Cinco de Mayo has come on and gone, but to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Jennie-O partook in the celebration by creating Cinco de Mayo inspired recipes.

I absolutely love Mexican food, so I have gone to the Jennie-O site and found some great Mexican inspired recipes.  These recipes are low in calories and my family loves them.  Actually, one might think these are great diet recipes with ground turkey.  I have made tacos, enchiladas, and taco salads.  Just today, my son asked if I could make nachos.  That is not going to happen today, because I have already begun preparing another meal with my Jennie-O lean ground turkey.

I either use the Jennie-O taco seasoned ground turkey or I will use the lean ground turkey and add my own seasoning.  It is perfect for people that are learning to cook.  I say this because my daughter needs to use the taco seasoned ground turkey.  She has not quite mastered her seasoning skills.

During the week of Cinco de Mayo and after, Ralph’s supermarket had all Jennie-O Turkey Store Turkey on sale for $2.99 each. Yes!!!  My freezer is now full of Jennie-O Turkey.  I had to ask for a rain check, because both the taco seasoned ground turkey and the lean ground turkey was gone.  I was disappointed and happy at the same time.  Disappointed that the store did not have it in stock, yet happy because, it seems many people are turning to Jennie-O Turkey to prepare their meals.

Again, I know Cinco de Mayo has passed, but you can always prepare Mexican inspired meals with Jennie-O taco seasoned ground turkey any time.
