Have you heard about the Gelato Festival 2019 that is coming to West Hollywood?  I just heard about and my family is looking forward to going!  We are going to eat gelato until our hearts are content.  Well….maybe not.  I just know we are going to have fun because we always enjoy upcoming festivals in Los Angeles.

Gelato Festival America is drawing crowds to West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center, from 11 am to 7 pm on September 28th and 29th for all you can eat competing gelato flavors, made fresh on-site in the world’s largest mobile frozen dessert laboratory. Local and visiting Gelato Artisans are entering unique original flavors to prove their skills. Every ticket-holding guest gets a vote and the opportunity to participate in the festival activities, which include Eating Contests, Scoop Stacking, and other games for the whole family! The Gelato Artisan with the most votes wins a gold medal and earns a place in the 2020 Gelato Festival American Final, moving one step close to the Gelato Festival World Masters in 2021 – the industry’s ultimate stage.   The festival location is 8687 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069.

The first flagship store of the Gelato Festival on iconic Melrose Avenue serves a rotating menu of award-winning flavors, soon to include the winner of Gelato Festival WeHo, as well as a live production workshop, a classroom, and a museum. Visitors will discover artisan gelato and Italian coffee in all its aspects, from tasting to creating. Master Chefs interested in experimentation and innovation will visit the open laboratory, where guests can admire all the steps of the gelato making process, with recipes like Strawberry and Pepper or Pecorino with Caramelized Pears and Sulla Honey, plus ice-cream cakes, popsicles, and high-quality Italian coffee.

 Tickets are available at gelatofestival.com with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Charity Partner Project Angel Food, a Los Angeles based charity that cooks and delivers over 600,000 nutritious meals each year, free of charge, to the homes of men, women, and children affected by life-threatening illnesses. Celebrating its 30th year in 2019, Project Angel Food has served over 12 million meals to more than 20,000 people.
