Freedom Friday – Twisting My Words
The other day my son and I where walking through Nordstrom. As we walked through the store, I touched on a sore topic, that should have been discussed at home.
I began asking him questions and making statements about the negative topic. All the while, he was looking around and slightly pushing his little hand down, gesturing for me to speak lower and then began saying, “Mom please not here?” I looked at him and said, “You are kidding…if you were doing what you are supposed to, I would be saying nice things” I then began to make positive statements as we continued through the store. He then said with a grin on his face, “Why thank you. I am so happy you are so proud of me.” WHAT is this kid for real!!! Mind you at this point people are passing by, there were not any people around when I was speaking the truth or should I say the bad.
I could not help but laugh. He is an awesome child, but he does get into some things and needs reminding. But on this day, I saw a side of him I did not know existed.
Happy Friday and Happy Thanksgiving
Don’t be afraid to be free!!!
