Best P.F. Chang’s Copycat Lettuce Wrap Recipe – Home Meals To Cook
I can remember the first time I tried P.F. Chang’s lettuce wraps, in the late 90s. They became one of my favorite things to order.
I have not been to P.F. Chang’s in years. Since I am still staying safe at home, I am making a few copycat meals. So far, everything tastes delicious and is pretty accurate.
P.F. Chang’s Lettuce Wraps Ingredients:
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 tbsp olive oil 5 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp ginger paste (Substitute with freshly chopped ginger. I have chopped ginger and olive oil in the food processer)
- 1tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 green onions (chopped )
- 8 oz chopped watered chestnuts (drained)
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat one tbsp olive oil.
- Add ground chicken. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until it is almost completely cooked.
- Add garlic
- Add hoisin sauce
- Add soy sauce
- Add Sriacha
- Add rice vinegar
- Add ginger
- Mix all ingredients in and cook on medium heat, until the sauce thickens.
- After the sauce thickens, add watered chestnuts and green onions.
- Mix for about three minutes, on medium to low heat.
- Cooking is complete. Cool for about 15 minutes.
- Add several tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of the lettuce leaf.
I was so excited to eat it, I added the mixture to the lettuce immediately. I suggest you allow the mixture to cool because it makes the lettuce soggy.
My son and I enjoyed these lettuce wraps. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.
