When I was house training our puppy I used pet absorbent pads, but I wished they were quilted leak-proof pads.   Sometimes when our puppy did her business it would leak through onto our hardwood floors.  To prevent the leakage we would double the pads.  That was not cost-effective.  It would have been ideal to use one pet pee mat.
