The perfect summer kickoff is just around the corner… Time is ripe for fun at the 2017 California Strawberry Festival at Strawberry Meadows of College Park in Oxnard May 20 & 21.

Known as the “belle of all things berrilicious” it’s an event of epic proportions covering 15 acres with 50 food booths, live concerts, 200+ arts & crafts exhibitors, cooking demonstrations and best of all Strawberryland for Kids with rides and attractions and the Strawberryland Kids Theatre.

Kids have a kingdom of their very own at the 2017 California Strawberry Festival May 20 & 21 in Oxnard. Strawberryland For Kids is an oasis where rides and interactive attractions and contests create smiles for the young at heart.

The Strawberryland Kids Theatre presented by Wells Fargo hosts live shows throughout the day and the Berry Best Dressed Baby Contest encourages infants up to four years of age to participate to win prizes.

Aside from the good food and entertainment we browse the aisles to see what the vendors have for sale.

The heralded event offers plenty for the entire family to enjoy with 50+ food booths, gooey contests, celebrity chef demonstrations, concerts, hundreds of arts & crafts, and more. The Festival grounds have been expanded by 50% this year on the parks 15 acres.

Did you know that all the non-profit food booths receive 100 percent of their sales proceeds?  You’ll see teens working alongside their teacher and parents.  That is so awesome!

Hours are 10:00am to 6:30pm. Proceeds benefit southland charities.

LOCATION:

Strawberry Meadows of College Park, 3250 South Rose Avenue, Oxnard.

Oxnard is 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara. Free park ‘n’ ride shuttles run from convenient locations just off the 101 freeway offer direct access. Limited parking is available on site for $10.

ADMISSION:

Adults: $12; seniors 62+, active military and dependents with ID card: $8; Youths (5-12): $5, Free for kids 4 and under.

Over the years my family as attended the Strawberry Festival and we eat until our hearts are content.  Not to mention the great entertainment.  We can’t help but to join in with the singing and dancing.   I even enjoy watching other people dance.  The time does fly while at this festival.
