9 Reasons I Sent My to Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp
This is my son’s second year participating in Challenger Sports, British Soccer Camp over Spring break and he had a great time.
I registered him for the 1/2 day session. This allowed him to participate in an organized activity and then hangout later.
While comparing his two camp experiences with British Soccer Camp, I really liked that they rotated the coaches this year. The coaches worked in twos on certain days. They each brought a different type of energy and skill set.
British Soccer Camp Offers:
- 3 hour sessions Monday – Friday for one week.
- Individual skill development
- Core techniques
- One on one skills
- Freestyle soccer
- Small sided games
- Their World Cup
- New Friendships
- Motivation, confidence and encouragement
After picking my son up everyday he was excited. Like most of the kids on the first day, he was excited about receiving a shirt and ball. Then throughout the week, he told me stories about the other kids and couches he met. He was eager to do the small soccer assignments that were assigned daily. For example, they had to share something important about soccer as it relates to their country.
When I arrived at the end of each day I witnessed a different child standing in front of the coaches and other teammates sharing how their team focused on teamwork and working together and pointing out who helped were.
Although, the kids were encouraged to work together there was a competitive side to camp as well. As the week went by, my son was hoping his team would win the World Cup. This motivated the kids to work hard, because everything was based on a points system and of course they wanted the points. On the last day (Friday) my son and his team received the World Cup.
My son has enjoyed attending Challenger Sports, British Soccer Camp these past two years and we are looking forward to next year.
