Watch Inside Out Movie
Could this be the next level of animation for adults?
My young, adult daughter loved Inside Out so much, she has been telling many people to go see it or she is telling them how it was such a good movie.
If you have not heard Inside Out is in theaters today!
As I sat in El Capitan theater I was taken in by the response from the adults. The movie was engaging for children, but the adults in my section laughed and cried louder than the children. Aside from the loud laughter, there were loud sobs. I even witnessed a gentleman wiping tears from his eyes.
No, Inside Out is not intended to make you cry, but it is easy to relate to. It will definitely warm your heart.
Inside Out sheds light on how Riley’s emotions are guided from the time she is born. Her emotions are Fear, Anger, Disgusts and Sadness that live in a Headquarters that is the control center inside Riley’s mind. They help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
I could relate to Riley’s emotions as a parent and as someone that was once a child. The concept of showing how our emotions are expressed and suppressed is genius! Most of the time Riley seems happy and her emotions seem to be controlled by Joy. I actually thought, “Wow, I wish my life was like this everyday.” When it seemed Fear, Anger, Sadness or Disgust were going to take control Joy found a way to emerge. We all know life is not like that, eventually they had to show themselves. That is when the audience was taken on an emotional roller coaster. This was one ride my daughter surely did not forget, she will not stop talking about this movie. Yes, she was one of the people laughing loudly and crying.
Not only is Inside Out the movie of the summer, it will definitely be the movie to have on Blu-Ray and DVD when it is available. I am telling you this is may be the next level of animation for adults.
Who does not love a film that we all can relate to? Go see Inside Out!!!
