Free And For Me

As my family and I were walking out of the door on New Year’s Eve, to ring in the new year at Knott’s Berry Farm.  We received our sample package of  the new “Simply Delicious” holiday gift box  from GoPicnic Brands.

Like I said we were on our way out to Knott’s.   Like many people we like to snack while at an amusement park.  We love the food at the amusement park, but we like bringing our own snacks as well.  These ready to eat meals while on the go, where definitely going with us.  We were going to spending a long day of riding and a night of partying and we  would need to eat something.  Immediately I suggested we grab the box and head out of the door.  Talk about perfect timing…

The snacks came in the perfect size. While standing in line or walking through park we were happy campers.  I fell in love with the Seth Ellis Chocolatier Sun Cups Sunflower Butter Cups in Dark Chocolate.  I had never had a sunflower butter cup before.  I shared it with my daughter.  My son was so excited about being at Knott’s he did not want to eat anything.  I had to force him to eat Professor Zim Zam’s Pillows Cookies in Chocolate.  I did not want to admit that he liked them, until my daughter kept asking him if he wanted his.  She had initially tried them and did not want to share the other packages with us.  I have to watch her.

We enjoyed every snack.  We ate the Indiana Original Kettle Corn on the ride home.  It was so good.  We love kettle corn.  We had a good bag, the perfect combination of salty and sweet.  We have had some that just do not get it right.   We had finished our evening with lots of dancing and needed to lightly fuel our bodies.   We did not eat everything while at Knott’s my daughter and I shared the shortbread over tea a couple of days later. Both my son and daughter ate the Sonoma Jacks Pepper Jack with crackers at home and we gave the Vermont Smoke and Cure Natural Summer Sausage to my parents when they dropped in for a visit. There was a lot to go around.
