Got Milk: Shake It, Stir It, Bottoms Up With Pablo Moix
Over the holidays I was invited to a got milk? Holiday Drinks party with mixologist, Pablo Moix. I was unable to attend. But I did hear that he has some great recipes. Although, I do not drink alcohol I did find some of his recipes can be made without alcohol.
I was unable to prepare any of the cocktails over the holidays, but with the winter season, I think I may have found a drink or two that will be perfect to try. I have deleted the alcohol from the recipe.
Pablo Moix has modernized classic party drinks.
Good old-fashioned milk has always been a part of breakfast, but did you know that it’s also the key ingredient in top party cocktails this season? Over the holidays, the California Milk Processor Board (CMPB), the creator of got milk? and TOMA LECHE, partnered with Mixologist Pablo Moix to bring drink aficionados a taste of the craft cocktail revival. Moix, a dynamic and sought-after consultant at the forefront of the food and beverage scene, modernizes milk-based party cocktails to helped fans shake it up during this year’s holiday celebrations.
“Classic cocktails are in and during the holidays milk-based cocktails are the classics,” says Moix, Co-Owner of Scopa Italian Rootsin Los Angeles. “Think of your usual holiday punches. The milk makes them velvety rich and my special recipes spice them up!”
If you are still in the holiday spirit or would just like to make a great cocktail, it is not too late to prepare one with milk.
The one drink I am looking forward to trying is the:
Choco en las Rocas
Serves 2
Ingredients:
Crushed ice
2 ounces lime
6 teaspoons sugar
1½ ounces chocolate milk
4 dashes orange flower water
4 ounces soda water
Chocolate shavings for garnish
Directions:
Combine ingredients (minus soda water) in a cocktail shaker and mix well. Pour over two glasses of ice and add soda water. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
I wish I had attended the party, because I am sure I my drink will not taste like Pablo Moix drinks. That is what I get for missing the party.

I do not drink milk, but when it is combined with something I am good to go.
