I finally tried lentil based pasta. Modern Table recently, reformulated its entire product line. Now each variety of nourishing noodles features dramatically improved pasta texture achieved through a blend of lentils, rice and peas containing all nine essential amino acids for long-lasting energy, good digestion and improved muscle health.
My family leads a pretty healthy lifestyle, but we have been trying to find a healthier options when it comes to eating pasta. We have had spaghetti squash and a couple of other vegetables that could be used as a replacement for pasta. Recently we have been eating Modern Table lentil based pasta.
Modern Table Meals are ready in 15 minutes. They have come in handy for my son’s lunch. I wake up early enough to prepare it before school so I do not have to heat it in the morning. I give him half of the meal for lunch and he will have the rest after school or for lunch the next day.
My son loves Mac and Cheese so that was the first Modern Table pasta I prepared.

- GMO free
- No artificial preservatives or colors
One thing I learned while preparing these pasta dishes was that I needed to make sure I watch the pasta as it cooked. This pasta cooks a little faster than regular pasta and sinks to the bottom. If you do not watch it carefully it will stick and/or burn.
Overall, I like that there are healthier, faster pasta substitutions like Modern Table Meal Kits and p pasta available.
