Seeing the Harlem Globetrotters when they come to town has become a family tradition.    My family will be going to watch them when their “Amazing Feats of Basketball 2018 World Tour” comes to STAPLES Center on February 25th.

Every year as February approaches my son is filled with anticipation and excitement to attend the Globetrotter game.

His level of expectation heightens on game day.  He then focuses on meeting any of the players.  It is a big deal for him and lots of anxiety for me.  Needless to say, he leaves with a smile on his face.

Last year as Chris ‘Handles ‘Franklin exited the court he waved to my son.   Something like this happens every year.  One of the Globetrotters will acknowledge him and he loses his mind.  He then has to make sure he meets them.  After ‘Handles’ Franklin made his way out of the locker room he gladly took a selfie with him as he made his way to a crowd of screaming fans.

Meeting the players is definitely a highlight, but rooting for them during the game as they entertain us with phenomenal basketball skills and humor is what we enjoy most.
