I do not think I have ever been in a room filled with so many sweets.  LA Cookie Con is every sweet tooth’s dream.

As my daughter and I entered the Pasadena Convention Center there was a plethora of booths filled with cookies, macaroons, cupcakes, candied apples, etc.  The list goes on and on.

Our first stop was  HEA Confections, where we were greeted by the very friendly Daryl.  Hea Confections presented themselves with much class and their cupcakes were delicious.  Not only did they offer some great tasting cupcakes, they were so friendly.  I am suspecting they give their customers nothing but the best customer service.

As we indulged in the many varieties of sweets.  We were stopped in our tracks by a beautiful display of candy apples and macaroons created by Mammaraella’s Sweets and Treats.  Oh how I wish she had samples for us to eat.  I bet they would have tasted just as good as they looked.  When I logged on to one of my social media platforms I saw that she was the LA Cookie Con Winner.

After walking around for a while and with so much to see, we had to take a break and decided to sit in the VIP lounge.  A break at Cookie Con is not really a break. We continued to eat, drink and have a great time with several vendors and other VIP guests.  I bumped into an old acquaintance, John Salley. John is a stranger to none.  He greeted many guest,  poured wine that was provided by Sun Cafe and took many selfies with his fans.

The lounge was buzzing.  Melissa from Baking with Melissa made her way to the lounge and we had a blast.  I wish I had the opportunity to try her baked goods as well.  She does in-home baking parties for kids and teens.  Maybe I will have a party soon!

I soon decided to make my way back around the convention center to visit other stations.  As I made my way through the crowd I saw a booth that had raw honey.  This was perfect for me because, my family loves raw and honey.  It is good for allergies and asthma.    Bee Green 100% raw honey was delicious and had the cutest packaging and the prices seemed to be fairly reasonable.  While talking to them I learned that they are at my local farmers market in Calabasas.  I am sure I will see them soon.

Immediately next to Bee Green was Sarah’s Skinny Sweets.  I think this was the place to be. People were lined up to take a photo with Sarah.  It was the cutest thing when a gentleman said, “I want to take a picture with Frozen!”  He is actually in the picture above with Baking With Melissa.  We did not try her sweets while at Cookie Con but, just this morning, my daughter said, “You have to try the Gluten Free and Paleo Indulgences made with Orange Cranberry Almond cookies, they are so good!”  I have not tried them yet, but I am sure they are very delicious.

Earlier in the day I met the Cupcake Wars Winner,Crystal of Cream by Crystal.  I sampled her silky smooth cupcakes.  I wish I knew how she makes them so soft and moist.  After eating my sample, I instantly knew why she was crowned the winner.  I am telling you the sample I had was light and moist.

As I continued to make my rounds, I stopped by Orange Clementine fine gifts from California.  Out of all of the booths they were the most generous.  They offered media and VIP guest a gift (a full size portion)  that included two large cookies and a mini pound cake.  I brought my gift home to my son and he says Orange Clementine is favorite from Cookie Con.

LA Cookie had much to see and taste.  With this in mind we came there on empty stomachs.  We did not over indulge but we sampled many of the sweets and left there feeling good.  We had a wonderful time!!!
