I could not stop laughing when my daughter told me this! She and her grandpa have the best relationship and conversations. I love when she shares their experiences and conversations.
A while ago my daughter and her grandpa were having a conversation. She was talking about something that made him feel left out. He let her know by asking, “What am I chicken liver?” My daughter began laughing and replied, “Oh Grandpa it is chopped liver, not chicken liver.”
Initially I was surprised that he said chicken liver, but then I realized chopped liver is not a term he would have normally used. He will usually say southern terms that he grew up saying, but not this one. I am positive people having being asking, “What am I chopped liver?” since before I was born. I wonder if this is new to him. I may have to investigate.
Lately it seems that he and my mom are trying to be “hip”, maybe this one of those things. Chicken liver???? Daddy you are free to say, chicken liver.
I love it!!!
Don’t be afraid to be free!!!
