My son and daughter made me get on the Sea Dragon at Pacific Park, Santa Monica Pier and all I could do was pray. Looks are definitely deceiving. I am not big on riding rides. Let’s just say when they got on later that night they rode without me.
We visited Pacific Park because we were celebrating my son’s birthday the entire weekend and this was one of the places he wanted to visit. We had an awesome time! We arrived at 2:30. As we were going to walk down to the pier we watched some of the street performers for a while and then made our way to Pacific Park.
After we got our unlimited ride wrist bands. My son was eager to ride everything.
We rode almost everything. One of his favorite rides was the Pacific Plunge. He and is sister rode it. I stayed on the ground and watched below.
After getting off of the Pacific Plunge we ran into some friends and decided to ride the West Coaster with them. I could handle that.
After riding a few rides, we decided to make our way over to 3rd Street Promenade and have dinner. We could have had dinner at the pier, but decided to take a walk. After dinner, we made our way back to the pier and rode more rides. My son and daughter convinced me and my cousin, who met us at Pacific Park, to get on the Pacific Wheel. My cousin is a southern boy that has never been on anything so high off of the ground. I am afraid of heights. We got on the ride and were extremely scared. My daughter recorded the entire thing. I refuse to share this with you. Although, I was frightened I did notice the view was amazing and the lights from the wheel were beautiful. This was a wonderful way to end the day by taking a night ride on the Pacific Wheel. We had a great time.
Pacific Park is definitely a summer hot spot. There were a lot of people there throughout the day. When we returned later that evening, there was an even larger crowd. Although, there were a lot of people the wait time for the rides were not very long.
I think we will be visiting Pacific Park again.
