Free And For Me

Giving you the latest and hottest in entertainment, travel, food and much more!!!

Million Dollar Arm will be in theaters May 16th!!!  This film is full of motivation and determination.  It is was exactly what my family needed to see.  We were truly inspired by Million Dollar Arm.

Based on a true story.  Sports agent JB Bernstein (Jon Hamm) realizes his business and his career has changed.  Like many people he does not want to lose what he has worked hard for.  He cooks up a scheme to find baseball’s next great pitcher.  With hopes of finding this pitcher he travels to India to produce a reality competition called “The Million Dollar Arm.”  Very creative…

Bernstein gets help from Ray Poitevint ( Alan Arikin, whom I love!!!)  a retired baseball scout that truly seemed questionable.  He discovers Dinesh (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku( Suraj Sharma).  This two boys know absolutely nothing about baseball, but they can definitely throw a fastball.   Cha Ching!!!  Bernstein brings them to America with hopes of signing them to a major league contract and he will make some fast money.

With thoughts of making a quick buck, Bernstein learns a lot of much needed life lessons.  Through the help of his dear friend Brenda ( Lake Bell)  he soon discovers a lot about himself, Dinesh and Rinku.

This film is about baseball, but it taps into so many feelings and emotions that you do not require you to be a baseball fan to understand this film.  I have tried to instill in my children to be kind to others and to work hard for what you want.  We walked away from this film, knowing that hard work, determination, the willingness to listen to others, fairness, honesty and kindness go very far.

Again, like many Disney films Million Dollar Arm gave us something to talk about, but we can really apply this to our lives.  We loved the film!!!
